Talk About It Tuesday: Career in Props

I think I've finally decided what I want to be when I grow up! Isn't that exciting? I want to pursue a career in prop making. This is a recent decision but it's one that's taken me a while to come around to.
I see many more shop/lab classes in my future.
I want to talk about possible future paths I can take, and why I think this job would be a good fit. If you want to hear my thoughts, read more below!

Talk About It Tuesday: 5 Year Goal Check-In

I've talked about how I got started art journaling on the blog before (right here actually) but I didn't share much of my first journal in that post like I did my subsequent ones. I did this for various reasons, some of the pages are personal, some were only half completed.

This one I was hesitant about sharing in case I failed, but when I stumbled upon my old journal while tidying my office I knew this was perfect to discuss here on the blog. I was asked to respond to the question "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" by my senior AP English teacher.

Talk About It Tuesday: Most Exciting Trip of My Life

(So Far)

Hey everyone! Hope you had a good weekend! Today I want to talk about things I don't normally talk about on the blog; Politics and people. Don't run away screaming yet! I've promise it won't get too intense. It's mostly just about my past experiences and how I came to do a complete 180 on my feelings about the topic.

In my junior year of high school ('10-'11) I did the most traveling I have ever done in my life in a short period. I got to go to New York, California, and Washington DC. Those trips were each amazing and special in their own ways but the one that has truly stuck with me the most was when I got to attend the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear.

Talk About It Tuesday: The Venture Bros. Appreciation

I will forever be a kid at heart, part of this aspect of my personality involves a love of cartoons. My absolute favorite cartoon ever is a show called The Venture Bros. It's a cartoon that airs on adult swim and I'm going to do my best to explain my love for this modern masterpiece plus show off some of Venture Bro's stuff; handmade or otherwise.

Go team Venture!

Talk About It Tuesday: New Years Review

So normally I don't make resolutions or do very well with keeping up with whatever ones I manage to make, last year, though, I made a post about New Years and wrote out my resolutions for everyone to see. Later in this post we're gonna look at how I did (*spoiler* Ohhhhhh we're halfway there!)

Before we begin I'd like to thank you reader, whether you're new or old, for checking out my blog and taking the time to read the words I write. This year, my first blogging, has been more amazing than any other year of my life and the main difference is this blog. I love doing what I'm doing and it's because of people like you I can do it, so as the picture says, thank you. Read below about this year and my resolutions for the next one!

Talk About It Tuesday: The Portal Series

Sorry about not getting up those pictures from the convention I promised you guys! I caught the black plague and have been deathly ill the last week. Not really, I caught the didn't-get-more-than-25-hours-of-sleep-in-two-weeks-due-to-con-and-finals virus. I'm doing reasonably better now though.

If you're a regular reader of the blog, or even if you've just looked around a little bit, you've probably seen one of my Portal projects or heard me mention the series in passing; and that is because they easily rank in my top 5 Video Games. Portal sits at #5 and Portal 2 is easily #2 favorite of all time.

A Lemon-grenade, popularized by Portal 2.

Portal is a vastly popular game with tons of rabid fans. Today I'm going to talk about the series a bit and some of the many things I have made to show my love for it, maybe hint at some things I hope to make in the future, and show you other people's inspired creations that make my heart happy.

Currently Obsessed: Harley Quinn

So, this is probably going to be the subtitle of many Talk About It Tuesdays: Currently Obsessed. I am a fangirl, I just can't help it. I have great love for many different things and most of them are geeky. Right now I'm currently obsessed with Harley Quinn.

This isn't really a new obsession, since I mostly cycle though my obsessions. Being really into something for a bit until I move on to something else, repeat with X number of awesome things.

Talk About It Tuesday: Tuesday Night Slam

*Welcome to TuesdayyyyyyNight Slaaaaaaam!*

As an avid sports apathist (definition: one who is apathetic about something. I apparently had to make that up because I swore it was a word), it would make sense that the only sport I've ever shown any interest in would be fake. That's right, I'm starting off this rant with the fact that I know that the WWE is more world entertainment than it is legitimate wrestling, I had to cut you guys off before you ask because that's always the first question I get when I finally tell someone about my odd fandom. I am more than fine with that fact. I am into wrestling for the nostalgia, sheer amount of content, the acting, and the characters. Trust me, there's more to wrestling than just sweaty guys beating each other up.

Talk About it Tuesday: Favorite Blogs

So today I'm starting this segment that will be a way for me to share a little of whats on my mind with you guys. This segment can be about anything and everything, It's just going to be a quick post about whatever I feel like writing about that day and today I want to talk about blogs.

Clearly you know something of blogs, because you found this one and I assume you know how/why you got here. Blogs are personal websites, usually ran by one or a group of people that focus on a topic and post original articles about said topic weekly, or monthly, sometimes sporadically. If you want some recommendations for great blog-reading, or to get a peak inside my brain, read more below!
